CBSE has made 75% attendence mandatory for board examinees fir the academic session 2025-26. The instrucation was issued on August 4, 2025 and is the extebsion of the old circular issued on October 9, 2024.  the ruls aims to bring regularity to students and maintain exam seriousness. Para 4.37 of National Education Policy-2020 stipulate that "To further eliminate the 'high stakes' aspect of Board Exams, all students will be allowed to take Board Exams on up to two occasions during any given school year, one main examination and one for improvement, if desired."
